Who We Are
The Research Analytic Center for Equity and Dignity (RACED) is a nonprofit research institute committed to advancing equity and human dignity through rigorous, evidence-based inquiry. RACED was established to ensure that data collection and policy analysis are grounded in empirical research methods that accurately reflect the lived realities of individuals and communities most affected by social and economic inequities.
RACED’s work focuses on identifying the structural conditions that produce inequality and translating research findings into actionable insights that inform fair, inclusive, and sustainable solutions.
Our Mission
RACED’s mission is to advance equity and uphold human dignity by generating rigorous, empirically grounded research that integrates community perspectives to inform public policy, program development, and resource allocation.
RACED is guided by the principle that effective and sustainable change depends on ensuring that individuals and communities are meaningfully represented in the data and decision-making processes that affect their lives.
Our Vision
RACED envisions a society in which public policies are guided by rigorous evidence and lived experience, resources are allocated equitably based on demonstrated need, and communities historically excluded from decision-making are recognized as active partners in shaping solutions. Within this vision, data is used responsibly as a tool for justice, accountability, and the protection of human dignity, ensuring that individuals and communities are meaningfully represented in the decisions that affect their lives.
What Guides Our Work
RACED’s work is guided by a commitment to equity, human dignity, and accountability in both research practice and data use. The center maintains that knowledge must be grounded in lived experience and produced with care, integrity, and respect for the individuals and communities it represents. RACED prioritizes community-sourced data and recognizes those most impacted by inequity as essential partners in the research process.
Through grounded, field-based data collection and rigorous analytical methods, RACED seeks to illuminate structural inequities and translate lived realities into evidence that informs fair public policies, responsible resource allocation, and inclusive, sustainable solutions.
Our Approach
RACED applies a mixed-methods research approach that combines quantitative analysis with qualitative, community-based fieldwork. This allows us to capture both patterns in the data and the human stories behind the numbers through:
🔹 Data analysis and statistical modeling
🔹 Community-centered interviews and field research
🔹 Policy and program evaluation
🔹 Data storytelling and visualization
🔹 Translation of findings into actionable recommendations
Who We Serve
RACED works in partnership with:
🔹Public agencies and policymakers
🔹Nonprofit and community-based organizations
🔹Funders and philanthropic institutions
🔹Researchers and data practitioners
🔹Communities impacted by inequity
🔹Academic institutions and Students
Our research supports informed decision-making across sectors, with a focus on improving outcomes for underserved and marginalized populations
